A man has been charged with the manslaughter of Piotr Woroniecki, a 32-year-old who was found dead in Clapham six years ago.
Polish national Mr Woroniecki’s body was discovered on Parma Crescent on November 23, 2017.
A post mortem examination gave the cause of death as "compression to the neck".
Police said that such an injury was "consistent with the victim being held in a headlock for a prolonged period."
A 33-year-old man, Briken Kola, has now been charged with manslaughter, conspiring to commit a burglary and conspiring to rob Mr Woroniecki.
Kola, of MacGregor Road in West Beckton, appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday (November 7).
The case was sent to the Old Bailey where Kola will be asked to enter pleas.
