A man who has been called a "Harry Kane lookalike" is wanted by police after a robbery in Twickenham.

The suspect, possessing the same blonde hair, blue eyes and long features as England’s captain, allegedly targeted a woman alone.

There is no suggestion that Harry Kane, the English professional footballer, is associated at all with this incident.

The incident occurred in an alley off Twickenham Riverside at around 8pm-8.30pm on October 26.

The uncanny resemblance, noted by football fans on social media, prompted lighthearted speculation it could be the former Tottenham striker.

One comment reads: “It does look like @HKane- although he has a great alibi!” and another adds “Harry Kane been eliminated from your enquiries? ps. I hope the lone female in question is OK. I shall keep a lookout.

Richmond Police tweeted: “#APPEAL - Robbery “On 26th October 2023 between 2000 - 2030hrs, a lone female was robbed in an alley off Twickenham Riverside.

“Please call us on 101 (ref 0711737/23) with any assistance.”
