A brand new “state-of-the-art” go karting venue has opened in south London courtesy of the UK’s largest indoor go karting company.
Team Sports has launched a new Combat Karts game in Mitcham which opened on Friday, November 10, so that Londoners can enjoy the “thrill and heart-pounding rush” or speeding through a track.
The track combines “cutting edge, augmented reality” with battle racing.
Players over the age of 13 can now burn rubber around a real-world circuit as their kart interacts with other players and in-game power-ups as well as any challenges rival players might throw their way.
You can compete for a place on the podium at the close of the game by collecting and using boosts and bonuses to get yourself over the finish line as fast as possible.
Using “state-of-the-art” technology, the karts produce realistic sensations and reactions that bring competitors into the “high-energy thrill ride”.
A Team Sports spokesperson said: “With no physical obstacles on the track it’s possible to use guile and strategy to drive with skill while also managing the power-ups and weapons that will be visible on the unique screen located on the kart itself.
“This amazing technology brings a completely different aspect to the way the races are conducted, requiring a whole new approach by seamlessly blending cutting-edge technology and exhilarating performance, paving the way for an electrifying experience on and off the track.
“If you're looking for a casual race or a high-stakes competition, Combat Karts has something for everyone and is brilliant for groups, whether it’s a family, works outing or just a bunch of friends.
“The use of state-of-the-art technology combined with an immersive environment designed for excitement means that none of the energy of karting is sacrificed and the addition of digital increases the intensity of the experience.”
