Three men have been released under investigation and a 16-year-old has been released on police bail after a man in his 20s was stabbed to death at a train station in Twickenham.
British Transport Police (BTP) were called to Strawberry Hill railway station on January 8 and found a man in his 20s seriously injured.
London Ambulance Service and the Metropolitan Police also attended but the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
His injuries were described as serious and “consistent with being stabbed”.
Around the same time, police were called to Alexander Close on January 8 after reports of a stabbing at 11.56pm.
London Ambulance Service also attended and found a 16-year-old boy with a slash to his leg.
He was taken to hospital where his condition was found not to be life-threatening.
Police are now treating the two incidents as related.
Four men were arrested – including the 16-year-old who was injured in Alexander Close.
A 19-year-old man, 20-year-old man, and a 15-year-old boy now have all been released under investigation.
The 16-year-old boy has been released on police bail.
Detectives are encouraging residents in the Strawberry Hill railway station area to come forward if they witnessed or heard anything, or if their CCTV, dash-cam, or doorbell footage captured any events between 11pm on January 8 and 12:15am on January 9.
Anyone with further information that can help police should call 101 and request to submit a report via British Transport Police with reference to 630/ 8 Jan - re Strawberry Hill and 7168/ 8 Jan - re Alexander Close.
British Transport Police have also said that they are carrying out high visibility patrols in the area and are working with Metropolitan Police to reassure the community.
Detective Chief Inspector Sam Blackburn said: “This is a senseless act of violence which has seen the tragic death of a young man.
“This investigation remains in the early stages and the station will remain closed while we continue our enquiries.

“In particular, Detectives are urging for those who live in the vicinity of Strawberry Hill railway station who might have seen or heard something, or captured something on their CCTV, dash-cam, doorbell footage between 11pm on 8 January and 12.15am on 9 January to get in touch.
