A man and a woman remain in hospital after a gunfight in Brixton over the weekend.
Police were called just after 5am yesterday (Sunday) to reports of a fight and gunshots fired in Coldharbour Lane.
Officers attended and found a woman with gunshot injuries - she was taken to hospital by ambulance.
Three men self-presented at hospital, one with gunshot injuries, one who had been stabbed, and one assaulted.
Two of the four have been discharged from hospital.
The woman and the man who had been assaulted remain in hospital.
There has been no arrest at this stage.
In response to the incident, the authorities closed the station and the road.
A2217 Coldharbour Lane in both directions was shut during the incident between B222 Hinton Road and Eastlake Road.
A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said: “Police were called just after 0500hrs on Sunday, 14 January, to reports of a fight and shots fired in Coldharbour Lane, SW9.
“Officers attended and found a woman suffering gunshot injuries.
“She was taken to hospital by ambulance.
“Three men self-presented at hospital, one with gunshot injuries, one who had been stabbed and one assaulted.
“Two of the four have been discharged from hospital.
“The woman and the man who had been assaulted remain in hospital.
“There has been no arrest.
“Any witnesses yet to speak with police and anyone with information is asked to call 101 ref 1167/14jan or to remain anonymous contact Crimestoppers.”
