A south London takeaway is “thrilled” to be shortlisted by Deliveroo for its “prestigious” restaurant awards.
Maki and Bowl, situated in Richmond, has been nominated for best poke restaurant in Greater London.
The spot has said that it offers healthy and sustainable bowls and that last year, customers created almost 200,000 different combinations using its build-your-own-bowl service.
Director and Co-founder of Maki and Bowl, Sasine Makhoul, has said that the nomination is a testament to the team’s hard work to give customers an “exceptional” experience.
He said: “We are thrilled that Maki and Bowl has been nominated for the prestigious Deliveroo 2024 Restaurant Awards in the Best Poké category in London for a second time.
“Across our sites, we offer healthy bowls full of sustainably-sourced ingredients at affordable prices.
“In fact in 2023, our customers created 185,472 unique combinations using our build-your-own model.
“This nomination fuels our commitment to crafting outstanding food for our valued customers.
“A big thanks to our dedicated team and partners for making this possible!
“This recognition is a testament to our team's dedication to delivering exceptional dining experience. “
Deliveroo has split the restaurants up into categories: Best Chinese, best pizza, best sushi, best poke, best Indian & Nepalese, best burger & American, best Thai, best chicken, best Japanese and best breakfast and coffee.
It has revealed the top spots across Greater London, and nine spots are from south London.
Voting closes on Sunday, January 21 so Deliveroo urges people to cast their votes asap.
The winners will be revealed on February 15.
