Two men have been taken to hospital after a double stabbing during an altercation in Sutton.
The incident happened in Benhill Avenue at around 8.20pm yesterday (February 4).
Officers were called to the scene and found two men injured.
The pair were taken to hospital for treatment and have since been discharged.
One of the men was subsequently arrested on suspicion of GBH in connection with the incident.
Police enquiries are ongoing.
A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: “A man has been arrested in connection with a stabbing in Benhill Avenue, Sutton.
“Officers were called to the location at about 20:20hrs on Sunday, 4 February following reports that two men had been involved in an altercation.
“Officers attended and found two men [A] and [B] suffering with stab injuries. They were both taken to hospital for treatment and have since been discharged.
“One of the men [B] was subsequently arrested on suspicion of GBH in connection with the incident.
“Enquiries are ongoing.”
