A man has been charged with a number of offences after a violent incident near a Waitrose in Epsom.
Cheriff Bayoumy, of Surbiton, has been charged with grievous bodily harm (GBH), actual bodily harm (ABH), assault on an emergency worker, criminal damage, and two counts of theft.
The incident occurred yesterday (February 15) at approximately 3:45 pm.
The 35-year-old has been granted bail but is subject to conditions that prohibit him from entering the Ashley Centre in Epsom.
His next court appearance is scheduled for Monday, March 25, 2024, at Guildford Magistrates Court.
A spokesperson for Epsom and Ewell beat said: “A man has been charged with multiple offences following an incident which took place near Waitrose in the Ashley Centre, Epsom yesterday at around 3:45pm
“Cheriff Bayoumy, 35 (DOB 11/05/1988), from Surbiton has been charged with grievous bodily harm (GBH), actual bodily harm (ABH), assault emergency worker, criminal damage and two counts of theft.
“He has been released on bail with conditions not to enter the Ashley Centre in Epsom.
“He will next appear at Guildford Magistrates court on Monday 25 March 2024.”
