A major road in Croydon is closed whilst emergency services respond to “concerns for a person's welfare” on the A232 Croydon Flyover.
The road closure affects both directions between A236 (The Croydon Flyover) and A212 Park Lane.
The incident has led to diversions being put in place, with a detour operation guiding traffic away from the affected area.
Croydon High Street is also closed.
Police confirmed that officers are currently “responding to concerns for the welfare of a person”.
Several bus routes experiencing disruptions including 60, 119, 154, 166, 312, 405, 407, 412, 466, 468, and SL7.
Commuters relying on these services should check for updates from the respective bus operators for alternative arrangements or adjustments to their travel plans.
Police have said that the person is safe with officers and roads will reopen "shortly" as of around 4.30pm.
