A burst water main has caused road closures in south west London.
Thames Water has today confirmed that a rising sewer main has burst in the postcode KT13.
To ensure customers can continue to use their facilities, Thames Water is on site and using tankers "around the clock” to improve the situation.
During this time, traffic and noise is expected to increase.
Thames Water has closed the Churchfields Car Park and Churchfield Road while it carries out the repair.
A spokesperson for Thames Water said: “We're on site managing the flows manually with extensive tankers.
“As a result, traffic and noise is expected to increase and we're sorry for the impact this may have on local residents.
“While we are working to keep disruption to a minimum, the tankers are vital to reduce the risk of further flooding, protect our environment and our customers' homes.
“During this time, a road closure is in place and the Churchfields Car Park, Churchfield Road is closed. We'll continue to work around the clock to improve the situation at the earliest opportunity.
“Thank you for your patience while we put things right.”
