A person has been taken to hospital after being hit by a train in Balham.
London Ambulance Service were called to reports of a person under a train at Balham station at 1.13pm yesterday (Saturday).
Ambulance crews, a paramedic in a response car, members of the hazardous area response team, and an incident response officer were sent to the scene.
London’s air ambulance was also dispatched.
A person was treated at the scene before being taken to a London major trauma centre.
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called today at 1.13pm to Balham train station after reports of a person under a train.
“We sent a number of resources including ambulance crews, a paramedic in a response car, members of our hazardous area response team, and an incident response officer.
"We also dispatched London’s air ambulance. We treated a patient at the scene before taking them to a London major trauma centre.”
