A 19-year-old woman has been charged with grievous bodily harm after a man was slashed with a knife in Brixton.

Police were called to Coldharbour Lane just before 2pm on April 17 to a man with a slash injury.

The man, aged in his 40s, was taken to hospital and his injuries have been assessed as non-life threatening.

One person was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm, now confirmed to be a 19-year-old Tasharne Gary who appeared at Croydon Magistrates Court today.

Police are appealing for anyone with information to call police on 101 quoting the reference CAD3726/17APR24.

A recent statement from police says: “A 19 -year woman was arrested in relation to the incident.

2They have been charged with Grievous Bodily Harm and Possession of a knife/sharp pointed article.

“They appeared at Croydon Magistrates Court this morning.”

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said: “Around 13.58hrs on Wednesday 17 April police were called to Cold Harbour Lane, SW9 to reports of a man with a slash injury.

“The man in his 40s was taken to hospital and his injuries have been assessed as non-life threatening.

“A crime scene remains in place and one person has been arrested on suspicion of Grievous Bodily Harm.
