A body has been found during the search for a missing man from Surbiton.
On April 22, the body of a man was found in the River Thames.
The body has not yet been formally identified but officers were searching the Thames Ditton Reach slipway in Kingston whilst trying to locate Scott Thompson.
Scott, 62, disappeared on April 15 and was last seen driving his dark grey Ford KA.
His last recorded location was his home at 12.44am.
His family have been informed of the development and the death is not being treated as suspicious.
A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: “Police appealed for information to help locate Scott Thompson who had been reported missing from Surbiton.
“On Monday, 22 April the body of a man was recovered from the River Thames near Surbiton.
“While formal identification awaits, Scott’s family have been informed of this development.
“The death is not being treated as suspicious.”
