A tent and camping equipment outside a disused building in Croydon have been destroyed in a fire.
Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to Park Street in Croydon at around 5pm yesterday (Thursday, May 9).
Wooden hoarding panels on the ground floor and the overhanging fascia of the building were partially damaged by the blaze as well.
No injuries were reported and the fire was under control by 5.21pm.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
A London Fire Brigade spokesperson said: “Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters tackled a fire at a disused building on Park Street in Croydon.
“A tent and camping equipment at the front of the building was destroyed by fire.
“Wooden hoarding panels on the ground floor and the overhanging fascia of the building were partially damaged by fire.
“There were no reports of any injuries.
“The Brigade was called at 1700 and the fire was under control by 1721.
“Crews from Croydon, Woodside and Norbury fire stations attended the scene.
“The cause of the fire is under investigation.”
