A man has been charged after a victim was threatened with a knife near Pryzm nightclub in Kingston.
Police were called to Kingston High Street after door staff from the nightclub that a man was acting suspiciously.
He was arrested by police and later charged with attempted robbery, possession of a bladed article and threatening someone with a bladed article.
He was remanded to Wimbledon Magistrates Court.
Officers have since praised the door staff for working with police and providing body worn video as evidence for the charges.
A spokesperson for Kingston Police said: “Officers attended Kingston high street after door staff from Pryzm nightclub noticed a male acting suspiciously.
“The male was quickly arrested and was subsequently charged with attempted robbery, possession of a bladed article and threatening someone with a bladed article.
“He was remanded to Wimbledon Magistrates Court.
“We'd like to thank the door staff at the venue for working with our teams as their statements on Body Worn Video were vital in securing charges quickly whilst the suspect was in custody.
“This helped us to take a very dangerous individual off of our streets.”
