A busy road in Croydon has been partly closed after a man was left injured following a fall.
Police and ambulance crews were called to Wellesley Road in Croydon today (May 30) at around 6:15am.
A man was treated for injuries at the scene.
Police say his injuries are believed to have been caused from “falling from a height” in the area.
Currently a road closure remains in place, with one lane closed northbound on Wellesley Road according to AA Maps.
Enquiries remain ongoing.
A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: “Police were called at approximately 06:15hrs on Thursday, 30 May to reports of a man injured in Wellesley Road, Croydon.
“Officers and London Ambulance Service attended and the man is receiving treatment at the scene.
“It is believed he sustained his injuries after falling from a height at the location.
“Road closures remain in place.
“Enquiries into the circumstances continue.”
