A busy road in south west London is set to close for a summer festival.

Wandsworth Council has proposed to restrict vehicle movement on Northcote Road from Battersea Rise to Broomwood Road, and Wakehurst Road from Webbs Road to Northcote Road.

No vehicles will be allowed to enter, proceed, or wait along these sections at any time during the Northcote Road Summer Festival on Sunday, July 14, 2024.

The Northcote Road Summer Festival will take place from 12pm to 6pm, featuring an LGBTQ+ theme to celebrate and promote inclusivity and diversity within the community.

Promising a free, fun-filled day for the whole family, the festival—sponsored by The Junction BID—is back, “bigger and better than ever”.

Guests can enjoy live entertainment and explore over 50 stalls featuring delicious street food and unique arts and crafts.

On the day, there will also be a giant screen broadcasting the Wimbledon Men’s Final, and a dog show where pooches take to the "catwalk" to showcase their best moves, stylish dos, and a few tricks along the way.

Signed detours will be provided for traffic, and further information can be found by contacting the Council's Network Management at (020) 8871 6904.
