The Labour Party has held its seat in Streatham and Croydon North as Steve Reed returns to his role as MP.
Steve Reed won with 23,232 votes, a majority of 15,603 which accounted for 52.1 percent of the vote, a slight decrease by 5.8 percent from the previous election in 2019.
Mr Reed will be returning to his role as MP after serving as MP for Croydon North since 2012, as well as shadow Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs since September 2023.
Mr Reed’s previous seat for Croydon North was abolished this year and replaced by Streatham and Croydon North as the new constituency.
In second place was the Green Party with 17.1 votes up from 12.7 percent from the elections in 2019, whilst the Conservative Party received 12 percent of the vote, a decrease by 6.8 percent from the last election.
