A woman was sexually assaulted by a man at Sutton railway station. 

British Transport Police (BTP) officers have released a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to in relation to the incident.

At 1.40pm on Thursday, June 6, the victim was waiting for a train when she was approached by a man.

He began making her feel uncomfortable then as she went to leave the area he sexually assaulted her. 

A BTP spokesperson said: “Officers believe the man in the image may have information that could help the investigation. 

“If you recognise him or have any other information that could help, please contact British Transport Police by texting 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference 389 6 June.  

“Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
