Two major roads are set to close in Croydon at the same time this summer.
Coulsdon Road and Stites Hill Road are set to close from July 25.
The roads will be closed so work to repair a drainage soakaway can be carried out.
Fox Lane and The Grove will also be closed.
The roads were also closed in April to improve the soakaway.
The council confirmed that the roads would reopen on August 25.
A spokesperson for Croydon Council said: “The proposed works to repair a drainage soakaway in the middle of Coulsdon Road between Fox Lane and The Grove are scheduled to commence on July 25, 2024.
“The works are being undertaken by the council’s contractor, FM Conway.
“The Stites Hill Road closure is to assist with traffic management for drainage works on Coulsdon Road.
“We appreciate that closing Stites Hill Road would have an adverse impact on residents and businesses.
“Unfortunately, there is no alternative, and this is believed to be the most effective and safest option to address the issues that were experienced during the road closure in April.”
