Planning permission is being sought for a nursing home in Croydon to make some significant changes to its layout.

Mr. Will Mitchell of BCP is applying to Croydon Council for planning permission at Tudor House on Birdhurst Road in South Croydon.

Tudor House is a privately owned care home for younger and elderly adults including people with Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia.

The new proposal involves minor alterations to the previously approved planning permission.

The original permission was for the demolition of two existing residential units (Class C3) and the erection of two blocks at the rear of Tudor House to provide additional 53-55 bed care home accommodation.

This includes alterations to ground levels, additional parking, and landscaping with access from Birdhurst Road and Coombe Road.

The minor amendments include changes to the lift overrun, a slight shift in the corridor position, the inclusion of a training room in the second-floor roof space, and the reinstatement of a link.
