Two males have been arrested as police found a stolen car in Sutton.
On Thursday, July 18, a police dog unit found a car after an automatic number place recognition activation.
Police claim that two males were seen changing number plates on a vehicle in Kimpton Park Way, Sutton.
The vehicle was reported stolen from Purley on Wednesday, July 17.
The two suspects were taken into custody.
Police have now forensically lifted the vehicle and multiple items believed to be stolen were found inside.
An investigation is ongoing.
Croydon MPS tweeted: “On July 18th a Police Dog unit located a vehicle following an ANPR activation.
“Two males were seen to be changing number plates on this vehicle in Kimpton Park Way, Sutton.
“The vehicle had been reported stolen by means of Burglary on 17th July from Purley, Croydon.
“The suspects were arrested and taken to custody.
“The vehicle has been forensically lifted and a large amount of items that are believed to be stolen were located in the vehicle
“The investigation is ongoing.”
