A person has been taken to hospital after a stabbing on a tram in Croydon.
The victim suffered multiple stab wounds on Thursday, July 18.
They sustained injuries to their face, stomach, arm and leg.
A suspect was arrested, and an investigation is being led by British Transport Police.
Croydon MPS tweeted: “We want to inform our community about a recent incident that occurred on a Tram in Croydon.
“A victim was attacked and sustained multiple stab wounds, including injuries to the face, stomach, arm and leg.
“The victim has been taken to hospital for treatment.
“The suspect was quickly detained and arrested by Croydon Officers.
“The British Transport Police (BTP) are now heading the investigation which is ongoing.
“Our thoughts are with the victim and his family during this difficult time.
“We would also like to thank the public for calling 999 immediately, and providing first aid prior to emergency services arrival on scene.”
