An HSBC bank in Wallington is set to close this August as it undergoes a refresh.

HSBC on 54 Woodcote Road will undergo refurbishment and will close this month.

The bank will close this Friday (August 9) at 2pm.

It’s expected to reopen after two weeks on Friday, August 23, at 9.30am.

Customers will be able to use mobile and online banking and call the HSBC contact centre.

Customers can also use any other HSBC branch, with the nearest ones being the Sutton and Croydon branches.

Leah Thompson, HSBC UK’s Local Director, said: “We continue to invest in our branch network to make our customers’ experience banking with us a good one.

“We are pleased that our Wallington branch is getting a refresh, with some painting, new signage and the installation of new state-of-the-art cash machines, which we are excited about.

“We have been talking to customers about the temporary closure for the last month, and while we are having the work done people can continue to use their nearest Post Office for day-to-day transactions, mobile and online banking is available 24/7, in addition to being able to call our contact centre.

“We will also be hosting Community Pop Up Events.

“Customers can also continue to use any of our branches with Sutton and Croydon being the closest branch.”
