Seven new stores are set to open in Croydon’s Centrale and Whitgift Centre.
Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield (URW) has announced the signing of seven new retailers for Croydon’s Centrale and Whitgift centres.
The new stores include:
- Beauty bar Adara Beauty.
- Dressmode – a women’s clothing store offering previously owned items.
- Maflora – a clothes shop ran by Flora Lyimo, owner of Whitgift-based women’s fashion shop Mbuta Nanga.
- Pinball Republic – a pinball club
- Rebel Clothing, a men and women’s clothing store
- Stacks – a homeware store.
Some stores have renewed their leases in both shopping centres in Croydon, adding up to over 200,000 square feet of space, and will remain there.
Fraser’s Group, with department store House of Fraser and Sports Direct, one of the UK’s biggest sports retailers, have chosen to stay.
Other businesses that have renewed their leases in Croydon include Art Impress photography service, Claire's Accessories, Conditions charity shop which supports artists, Frame Express picture framing shop, House to Home Italian furniture store, Holland & Barrett, Starbucks, and Waterstones.
Croydon Council has also opened the doors of Croydon Urban Room, dedicated to bringing the people of Croydon together for the Croydon Regeneration.
Several food and drink brands including Thirst Trap Bar, Cool Ice, Burgers and Fries, and Indigo Street Food have launched short-term pop ups on the roof of Centrale as part of the Costa Del Croydon event which will be open throughout August.

We aim to provide our customers and local community with a diverse shopping experience, and we are delighted to bring new brands including Dressmode and Adara Beauty to Croydon as well as long-term favourites such as House of Fraser, Sports Direct and Starbucks.”

“Croydon Urban Room, opened in the heart of the town centre, is perfectly placed to engage with residents, businesses and community groups, as we work together to develop a vision for a vibrant and welcoming town centre where people want to live, work and visit.”
URW is the owner of a 25-acre parcel of land in Croydon’s town centre, which includes the Centrale & Whitgift shopping centres as well as high street retail frontage, office blocks, and multi-storey car parks in the heart of London’s next major and most exciting regeneration zone.
