A popular Chessington pub is set to reopen after a refurbishment costing more than £1million.
The William Bourne pub on Moor Lane closed at the start of August to begin an extensive refurbishment, with the pub upgrading many of its facilities.
The refurbishment has created six new jobs within the community.
Stonegate Group said it has invested the money to enhance the pub while "preserving its beloved charm".
The pub now has a completely new look with vibrant contemporary decoration and an updated sign being added to help fuel the pub’s warm and welcoming exterior.
The beer garden has been extended while keeping the popular surf shacks, perfect for sitting in while having a cold beer on a warm summer’s afternoon.
A new TV screen has also been added, taking the total amount of HD TVs to eight, with TVs located both outside and inside.
In the beer garden, locals can watch the outdoor big screen, which ensures sport lovers can enjoy the hot weather while not missing a second of the action.
Sports lovers can also now enjoy a new Sports Zone in the pub’s bar area, with a dartboard and pool table alongside large HD TV screens showing Sky and TnT Sports.
Dogs are welcome throughout the pub.
The William Bourne has a large range of cask ales and beers, cider and cocktails to choose from.
Meanwhile, those not drinking alcohol will be able to choose from an extensive range of no and low-alcohol options.
The reopening will consist of an action-packed family fun weekend, with an outdoor bouncy castle on the agenda with live singer, Megan Jones, performing some fan favourite covers on the Saturday.
Saturday will also see kids’ face painting where little ones can be painted as animals among other designs, while Sunday will host a children’s entertainer.
Zoe Nurse, general manager of the William Bourne, said: “These renovations align with Stonegate Group’s commitment to always improve and innovate, enabling us to enhance locals’ experience at our beloved pub.
“The renovations have improved our warm and welcoming atmosphere while developing the community feel of the William Bourne, I’m especially excited for locals to see our new and improved beer garden.
“We’re confident in our competitively priced top-class beer and food range and with our new and improved facilities allowing for a more comfortable family experience and an even better sports atmosphere, we know locals are going to love the new-look pub.”
