A Sutton student has made his stage debut in a production of the musical Oliver!.
Aaron from Stagecoach Performing Arts in Sutton made his stage debut at the Chichester Festival Theatre.
The 10-year-old went through several rounds of auditions to land his first stage role as a leading in Fagin’s Gang in Oliver!, running at the Chichester Festival Theatre until Saturday (September 7).
The show will move to London’s West End later in the year.
Aaron has attended Stagecoach Performing Arts school since he was six and has been involved in a variety of filming projects.
He is represented by Happy Feet Management.
Jennifer Jones, Principal of Stagecoach in Sutton, said: "I am so proud of Aaron who attends my Saturday afternoon school and is an absolute pleasure to teach.
“He has worked incredibly hard and really deserved to be cast in the musical. He has huge potential.”
Stagecoach Performing Arts in Sutton is part of the biggest network of extracurricular performing arts schools in the UK.
The classes are divided across various age groups: Early Stages (ages 4-6), Main Stages (ages 6-15) and Further Stages (ages 15+), and cover singing, dancing, and acting.
