A cannabis factory has been shut down in Morden after a raid by police.
Police were called at 2.19am to St Helier Avenue, where a group of males was reportedly acting suspiciously.
Officers detained a man after stopping a van on Morden Hall Road.
A search of a nearby address revealed a cannabis factory along with several bladed weapons.
Another man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of cultivating cannabis and possession of an offensive weapon.
The police have launched an investigation into potential criminal networks connected to the discovery.
The investigation is ongoing.
A spokesperson for the police said: "Police were called at 02.19am on September 11 to a group of males acting suspiciously in St Helier Avenue, Morden. Officers responded.
"A male was detained after a van was stopped in Morden Hall Road. Following a search of an address, a cannabis factory and bladed weapons were discovered.
"Another male was arrested at the scene on suspicion of cultivation of cannabis and possession of an offensive weapon. Investigation into linked networks of criminal activity continues as a result."
