Some Southern trains will be cancelled, diverted or replaced by buses this week due to planned engineering work.

The work will affect trains from September 14 (Saturday) through to September 15 (Sunday)

We have compiled all the details on these works so that you can plan your journey this weekend.

 

September 14 and 15 (Saturday and Sunday)

Engineering work is taking place between Streatham Hill and Norwood Junction, closing all lines via Crystal Palace.

On Saturday and Sunday, no trains will run between Streatham Hill and Norwood Junction or London Bridge through Sydenham or New Cross Gates.

Trains between London Victoria and London Bridge / West Croydon trains will only run between London Victoria and Streatham Hill.

There will be no replacement buses.

Trains which usually run between London Victoria and Ore will run between London Victoria and Lewes, diverted via Brighton.

Trains will run to an amended timetable between Brighton and Lewes and between Eastbourne and Hastings or Ore.

Journey times will be increased on replacement buses.

Buses will replace trains between Portsmouth Harbour and Havant.

Trains that usually run between Brighton and Portsmouth Harbour will run between Brighton and Havant only.

Trains between Brighton and Southampton Central will call additionally at Portchester.

 

September 14 (Saturday):
Trains between London Bridge and Beckenham Junction will not run on any part of their route.

Engineering work will be taking place between Lewes and Seaford, closing all lines.

Buses will replace trains between Lewes and Seaford.

 

September 15 (Sunday)

Replacement buses will replace trains between:

Lewes and Eastbourne (fast and all-stations buses).

Lewes and Seaford.

Three Bridges / Haywards Heath and Lewes.

Haywards Heath and Cooksbridge.

Cooksbridge and Lewes.
