A woman has been taken to hospital after a car crash in Tolworth.
Emergency crews were called to Kingston Road today (September 25) just after 9.30am.
A woman who was trapped inside her car which had crashed into a lorry was saved by firefighters.
Resources were sent to the scene, including an ambulance crew, a paramedic in a fast-response car and an incident response officer.
Members of their hazardous area response team (HART) were also dispatched to the scene.
One woman was treated at the scene and taken to a major trauma centre.
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: ““We were called at 9.35am today (Wednesday 25 September) to reports of a road traffic collision at the junction of Kingston Road and Jubilee Way, Tolworth.
“We sent resources to the scene, including ambulance crews, a paramedic in a fast response car, members of our Hazardous Area Response Team (HART) and an incident response officer.
“The first of our crews arrived in six minutes.
“Our crews treated a woman at the scene, before taking her to a London major trauma centre.”
A spokesperson for London Fire Brigade said: "We were called at 9.37am to a report of a road traffic collision on Old Kingston Road in Tolworth. One car had collided with a lorry.
"A woman, who was reported to be trapped inside the car, was released from the vehicle by firefighters before being taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service crews.
"Two fire engines from Surbiton and New Malden fire stations and a fire rescue unit from Wimbledon Fire Station attended the scene."
