New data has revealed the most popular dogs that Croydon residents are looking to buy.

According to researchers from puppies.co.uk, a website which allows people to search and purchase dogs for their home, the most popular choice for Croydon residents was Labradoodles.

These affectionate and highly intelligent dogs are a cross between a Labrador Retriever and a Poodle.

This breed costs up to £3,000 and is the most popular with 607 monthly searches.

The extremely loyal and intelligent Cane Corsos took the second stop.

Cane Corsos receive an average of 599 monthly searches.

While this powerful breed gets a reputation rep, a spokesperson at puppies.co.uk said: “Any dog of any breed which is raised, trained and bred properly and responsibly can be calm and obedient around anyone.

“We believe in equality for all dog breeds, and advocate for responsible ownership and responsible training as opposed to tarnishing whole breeds with one brush as being aggressive.”

Cane Corsos cost up to £1,200.

The third most popular breed was Bernadoodles.

Bernadoodles are a cross between a Bernese Mountain Dog and a Poodle, known for their outgoing and fun-loving personalities.

The breed received an average of 591 monthly searches and costs around £2,5000.

At number four is the Golden Retriever.

Golden Retrievers receive an average of 434 monthly searches, with an average cost of £1,500.

At number five is the Cocker Spaniel.

This lively dog breed receives an average of 424 monthly searches and costs around £1,200.

Rounding off the top 5 is the Cocker Spaniel at 424 monthly searches. This lively dog breed costs around £1,200.

The data also showed that Greyhounds, Dachshunds, German Shepherds, Cockapoos, and Toy Poodles ranked as the sixth through tenth most popular dog breeds in Croydon.

Greyhounds receive an average of 375 monthly searches, while Dachshunds receive 312 searches.

German Shepherds receive 301 searches, Cockapoos receive 290 searches, and Toy Poodles receive 214 searches.
