A pub in Putney has officially reopened with a brand-new look.

After an extensive four-week refurbishment, The Jolly Gardeners, on 61 Lacy Road has reopened.

The pub’s garden has been given a full renovation, creating an English Country Garden full of charm, whilst the inside has also had a facelift that enhances its traditional look and feel.

The Jolly Gardeners is renowned for hosting social gatherings in its beautiful historical King George VI-era building built in 1937.

The pub prides itself on community spirit and the team will continue to welcome guests to their Tuesday night quiz night, the longest-running quiz night in Putney.

For guests that enjoy sport, the Jolly Gardener has a long history of welcoming Fulham Rugby fans and has now introduced boxing to the sporting lineup too.

Guests can tuck into all the pub classics, sirloin steak, classic fish and chips and delicious burgers, as well as a delectable range of Sunday roasts to delight discerning guests.

Along with the new food menu, guests will also be greeted with an extensive drinks menu, with a wide selection of craft beers, ciders and newly added cocktails.

Speaking about the refurbishment, General Manager Shane at The Jolly Gardeners said: “This has been a wonderful opportunity to breathe new life into the local pub.

“Although it has always been dependable to friends and neighbours it was beginning to look tired as the last refurb was over 10 years ago.

“We are reopening with a bang and looking forward to welcoming guests”.

Following the extensive refurbishment and significant investment made at the pub, several new jobs have been created for the local area, including a new head chef who is ready to delight guests with his food.
