A burglar who forced entry into seven homes, took car keys and drove away has been jailed.
Brendan Morgan, 21, from Sutton, was jailed for four years for a series of burglaries across Surrey and South London.
Between November and January he worked with Archie Howlett, 21, from Dorkin, to force open people’s front doors and steal car keys.
The pair would target homes with high value vehicles outside then drive off in the cars.
Morgan pleaded guilty to seven such burglaries while Howlet pleaded guilty to six and was jailed for three years and nine months.
They also each admitted their role in a further eight burglaries and vehicle thefts.
PC Ben Wright, from Surrey Police, said: “I am extremely pleased that the hard work of the team was able to identify these two as being responsible for multiple offences in Surrey and South London.
“People deserve to feel safe in their homes and burglars and thieves destroy this sense of safety purely for their own gain.
“I hope they enjoyed seeing us first thing in the morning as little as their victims enjoyed a visit from them.”
