A man in his 30s is fighting for his life in hospital after crash in Croydon.
The incident between a pedestrian and a bus happened in George Street just before 1.10pm yesterday (October 5).
Officers and London Ambulance Service crews attended and found a man injured.
He was taken to hospital for treatment where his condition was initially unknown.
A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police confirmed today (October 6) his condition was assessed as life threatening.
George Street was closed in both directions as the incident was being dealt with.
However it has since reopened.
The full Metropolitan Police statement says: “Police were called to George Street, Croydon, at 13.09hrs on Saturday, 5 October, to reports of a collision between a bus and a pedestrian.
“Officers attended along with paramedics from London Ambulance Service.
“A man in his 30s was found injured. He has been taken to hospital, where he remains in a life-threatening condition.”
