A bus driver has been arrested on suspicion of drug driving after a crash left a man fighting for his life in Croydon.
The incident between a bus and a pedestrian happened in George Street just before 1.10pm on October 5.
Officers attended and a man in his 30s was found injured and taken to hospital for treatment.
He remains there in a life-threatening condition.
The driver of the bus has been arrested on suspicion of drug driving and taken into custody.
A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said: “Police were called to George Street, Croydon, at 13.09hrs on Saturday, 5 October to reports of a collision between a bus and a pedestrian.
“Officers attended along with paramedics from London Ambulance Service.
“A man in his 30s was found injured. He has been taken to hospital, where he remains in a life-threatening condition.
“The bus driver has been arrested on suspicion of drug driving.
“He has been taken into custody.”
