A man has been rushed to hospital after an assault in Sutton.
The incident happened in Throwley Way just before 4.20am today (October 17).
Officers and London Ambulance Service crews attended and found a man injured.
He taken to hospital as a priority where his condition was assessed as non-life threatening.
Multiple police cordons were put in place as the incident was dealt with however this has since lifted.
No arrests have been made as police enquiries continue.
A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: “Police were called at 04:10hrs on Thursday, 17 October to reports of an assault on Throwley Way in Sutton.
“Officers attended. A man was taken to hospital by the London Ambulance Service; his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
“There have been no arrests and enquiries continue.
“Anyone with information is asked to call police via 101 reference CAD 895/17Oct.”
A spokesperson for London Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 4.19am this morning (Thursday 17 October) to reports of an incident in Throwley Way, Sutton.
“We sent an ambulance crew to the scene.
“Our crews treated a man at the scene, before taking him to a London major trauma centre, as a priority.”
