A total of 10 cars have been destroyed after a fire at an industrial estate in Sutton.
Firefighters were called to the fire on Beddington Lane at 12.51am today (October 21).
An industrial unit containing around 10 cars was destroyed and part of a further single-storey industrial unit was damaged by the fire.
An electric vehicle was also destroyed by the blaze and crews ensured the lithium battery was cooled.
There have been no reports of any injuries.
Ten fire engines and 70 firefighters from Norbury, Addington, Wimbledon, Beckenham and surrounding fire stations to the scene.
The fire was under control by 3.16am with the cause being under investigation.
A spokesperson for London Fire Brigade said: “Ten fire engines and around 70 firefighters tackled a fire at an industrial estate on Beddington Lane in Beddington.
“An industrial unit containing around 10 cars was destroyed and part of a further single-storey industrial unit was damaged by fire.
"An electric vehicle was also destroyed by the blaze and crews ensured the lithium battery was cooled. There were no reports of any injuries.
“The Brigade's Control Officers took the first of eight calls to 999 at 12.51am and mobilised crews from Norbury, Addington, Wimbledon, Beckenham and surrounding fire stations to the scene.
“The fire was under control by 3.16am.
“The cause of the fire is under investigation.”
