A south London location with “village vibes” and a countryside feel has been named as one of the UK’s best places to live.
Teddington lies three miles south of Richmond in South West London on the borders of Surrey and was one of four south London areas to make the list of Muddy Stilettos' Top 300 Places to Live in the UK.
This London neighbourhood has the perfect balance between being within London in zone six whilst still having that “village vibe”.
Muddy Stilettos described Teddington as an “under-the-radar city meets country idyll”, making it a prime spot if you want to feel like you're living in the country whilst still being in London.
But despite its lush greenery and country feel, Teddington is still just 40 minutes by train to Waterloo from Teddington station.
But if you’re looking for day trips that don’t involve commuting to busy London, Teddington is within close distance to Hampton Court – famous for being the former home of King Henry VIII – and is also a short way from Richmond, with its high street, and Richmond Park, famous for its wild roaming deer.
