A woman was allegedly raped by a man "she met earlier" at an alleyway leading to a park in Wandsworth.
Officers were called to reports of a sexual assault at King George's Park at around 4pm on November 4.
The victim, in her 20s, reported to police that she had been attacked by a man she had met earlier.
A 21-year-old man has since been arrested on suspicion of rape.
A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: “At approximately 4pm on Monday, November 4, police received a report of a sexual assault at an alleyway into King George’s Park.
"The victim, aged 20s, had been sexually assaulted by a male she met earlier. She is being supported by specialist officers.
“A crime scene remains in place. A 21-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of rape.
"Enquiries are ongoing.
"Anyone with information is asked to call police via 101 quoting CAD7123/4NOV.”
