A Greggs bakery in Croydon has said it will no longer serve customers who wear their headphones at the counter.
The business giant, best known for selling bakery items at mass and discount prices, has put up signs in stores warning customers of the change.
As well as not being able to buy a sausage roll or a chicken bake if you're wearing headphones, it will also count if you're on your phone.
Croydon Greggs to not serve customers wearing headphones
Telling customers of the change, the sign read: "When in queue, remove your headphones/AirPods and come off phones or we may have to refuse service."
Speaking to The Sun, a staff member from the Greggs location said: "We get more and more customers coming in who seem to be lost in another world.
"We try to be helpful and get everyone served quickly during busy times but it’s impossible if customers can’t hear a word you’re saying.
"The sign is pretty blunt but we have no option."
Although the Croydon location is one of the first to roll in a headphones no-serve rule, it's not the first time it's been suggested.
Some Greggs customers previously took to social media to share their anger at the amount of customers in the queue on their phones.

Sharing: "Can people please stop talking on the phone when placing an order? It’s rude to workers because we have to wait until you stop.
I have got to the point where I will just ask what we are required to do.
"I do not care if it interrupts your call, I am not going to wait for you to finish when there are people behind you. Stop doing it."
