November 10 marks Remembrance Sunday and Sutton will come together to remember the brave men and women of the Armed Forces who lost their lives in conflict.
The event will be held at the War Memorial in Worcester Park and the service will be conducted by Reverend Hannah Thomson, Vicar of Christ Church with St Philip.
The Civic Act of Remembrance will begin at 10.45am, and the Mayor, Mayoress, and Deputy Mayor will be in attendance.
There will also be other Remembrance Sunday events taking place in Sutton.
These include the Carshalton Memorial Service at the Carshalton War Memorial, SM5 3PE, the Remembrance Service at Manor Park, SM1 4AF, the Belmont War Memorial Remembrance Sunday Parade at the Belmont War Memorial, SM2 6DS, and the Act of Remembrance at the Wallington Green Memorial, SM6 0AA.
On Armistice Day (November 11), an Act of Remembrance will be taking place in Trinity Square.
There will be the traditional two-minute silence at 11am.
The service will be led by Reverend Alison Way on behalf of St Nicholas Church in Sutton.
Martin French will be conducing the choir from Sutton High School.
The Mayor, Cllr Colin Stears, Mayoress, Sue Stears and Madam Deputy Mayor, Cllr Louise Phelan will be in attendance.
Anyone can attend both services.
