Three south London restaurants have won 2025 Good Food Awards.
The Good Food Awards aim to celebrate and acknowledge “culinary excellence” across the UK.
The awards began in 2002 and the organisation has worked to “promote and bolster local, independent businesses that create delectable food”.
So, these are the south London restaurants that have won the awards this year:
Colombo Kitchen
Colombo Kitchen in Sutton has been named a Blue Ribbon winner in the Good Food Awards 2024/25.
This Sri Lankan restaurant in Worcester Park first opened in 2019, and has two branches, one in Worcester Park and one in Putney which opened this year.
Colombo Kitchen has already won several awards, including the National Chef of the Year 2024 in the Asian Restaurant and Takeaway Awards.
The menu has been created by Head Chef Sylvia Perera, and it contains recipes which have been passed down the generations of her family.
A statement on their website states: “Each dish on the menu is mastered to perfection using local, traditional methods and exotic, aromatic ingredients from Sri Lanka, combined with a modern presentation.
“They are paired with our signature cocktails to deliver you the diverse flavours of Sri Lanka.”
Colombo Kitchen is open from 5pm to 11pm on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, and 12pm to 11pm on weekends.

The restaurant is open from 10am to 10.30pm on Tuesday to Thursday, 10am to 12am on Friday and Saturday, and 10am to 10pm on Sunday.
The Good Food Awards see these businesses as the “backbone” of a community and want to give them the recognition they deserve.
In the restaurant category, the types of eateries taken into consideration includes fine dining, restaurants and products.
The Good Food Awards website says: “Our Good Food Awards recognise the hard-working teams who strive for excellence within their field.
“Chosen for their food quality, service and value, our prestigious Blue Ribbon is bestowed upon those with high customer ratings/votes and is known as – the Blue Ribbon for Delicious Dishes.”
