A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a fight on a bus in Brixton.
Police were called to reports of two men fighting on the route 59 bus in Brixton Road at 10.20am today (November 21).
One of the men was taken to hospital for treatment where his condition is currently unknown.
Officers arrested the other man on suspicion of attempted murder.
Investigations are ongoing, but police believe no weapons were involved in the brawl.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: “Police were called at approximately 10:20hrs on Thursday, 21 November to reports of two men fighting on a route 59 bus in Brixton Road, SW9.
“Officers and London Ambulance Service attended.
“One of the men was taken to hospital for treatment – condition awaits.
“The other man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and taken into police custody.
“At this stage it is not thought any weapons were involved but enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing.”
