Some Southern trains running through Sutton and Croydon will be cancelled, diverted or replaced by buses this week due to planned engineering work.

The work will affect trains from December 2 through to December 6.

We have compiled all the details on these works so that you can plan your journey this week.

 

Monday to Friday (December 2 to December 6):

Engineering work is taking place between Balham and East Croydon via Selhurst, closing some lines.

From approximately 11.30pm until the end of service on Monday to Thursday, stopping trains will call at alternative platforms between Balham and East Croydon.

Additionally, the 11.40pm train from London Victoria to Sutton service will be diverted to East Croydon.

A replacement bus service will operate from Selhurst to Sutton.

The 12.01am train from London Bridge to Selhurst service will be diverted after Tulse Hill, calling at Crystal Palace and terminating at Norwood Junction from Tuesday to Friday.

A replacement bus service will run from Tulse Hill to Selhurst via Streatham and Norbury.

 

Monday to Thursday (December 2 to December 5):

Engineering work is taking place between Redhill and Reigate, closing all lines from 11pm until the end of service.

From approximately 11pm until the end of service on Monday to Thursday evenings, buses will replace trains between Redhill and Reigate.

Journey times will be increased when travelling on replacement buses.

 

Monday to Thursday (December 2 to December 5):

Engineering work is taking place between Lewes and Eastbourne, closing all lines from 10pm to end of service each night.

From approximately 10pm until the end of service, buses will replace trains between Lewes and Eastbourne.

From approximately 11pm until the end of service, buses will also replace trains between Haywards Heath and Lewes.

The 10.46pm train from London Victoria to Hastings service will run beyond Haywards Heath, terminating at Lewes.
