All traffic has stopped on the M25 due to a crash between a van and a car which is causing long delays.
The motorway has been shut on the M25 clockwise between J9 Leatherhead and J10 Wisley since 12pm today (December 4).
National Highways (@HighwaysEAST) is urging motorists on X (formally known as Twitter) to allow plenty of time travelling in the area.
There are currently three and a half miles of congestion on approach which is causing 60-minute delays.
It is unknown when all traffic restrictions will be lifted.
We have contacted Surrey Police and South East Ambulance Service for further information.
The full statement from AA says: "Long delays and three lanes closed due to crash, a car and a van involved on M25 clockwise before J10 A3 (Wisley Interchange)."
