Wow.
I’ve always loved monkeys.
It’s just something about how cute they are.
So imagine my joy at getting to meet a hero of mine. SpongeBob the squirrel monkey.

The little chap became something of a celebrity after he was stolen from his home in Chessington World of Adventures.
He was eventually returned after he was found playing with some children.
But when he went back to his troop they rejected him. The poor dear has some socialisation problems because he was hand reared.
So he was moved to Battersea Park Children’s Zoo, where I met him.
Unlike his roomie he doesn’t have any fear of humans as a result of being reared by them.
He’s certainly well worth visiting at the zoo, and when you are done watching his antics you can see some more of his little pals all around the place.
You can read more about what it’s like to work at the zoo by clicking here.
