A man has admitted mowing down a female clubber after a fight spilled out into a town centre road.
Police were called to reports of two groups of men fighting in Thames Street, at 2.10am on Friday, July 18.
A 22-year-old woman from Sutton was rushed to hospital with back and chest injuries and concussion, after being hit by a car when the fight escalated. She spent several days in hospital before eventually being released.
Ahmed Al Sattar, 26, of Whitton Avenue East, Greenford, appeared in Kingston Crown Court on Monday via a video link from Wandsworth Prison.
Dressed smartly in a black shirt, he pleaded guilty to wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and dangerous driving.
Following the incident, another 20-year-old man was treated for a broken thumb and cuts to his head.
An 18-year-old from Battersea has already been cautioned for affray in relation to the incident. Judge Campbell remanded Al Sattar in custody and ordered probation reports to be completed.
He said: “It is obvious that you face a substantial custodial sentence.”
Al Sattar will be sentenced on October 30.
