Ten men and a woman appeared in court variously charged with money laundering and drug dealing offences after £1m in cash was seized in police raids in Worcester Park, Epsom, East Molesey, Ashtead, Ewell, Surbiton, Kingston, Wimbledon and Sutton.
The 11 appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court today accused of being part of an organised criminal group involved in the importation, storage and distribution of large quantities of cannabis.
Among the 11 were two Kingston men, one from Surbiton and another from Tadworth.
Mark Kinnimont, 38, of Claremont Road, Surbiton, and Terrence Bowler, 39, of St Albans Road, Kingston faced court charged with conspiracy to import controlled drugs, conspiracy to supply controlled drugs; and money laundering.
Peter Brown, 36, of King Henry's Road, Kingston was charged with conspiracy to import controlled drugs and conspiracy to supply controlled drugs.
Liam Salter, 38, of Reads Rest Lane, Tadworth was charged with conspiracy to import controlled drugs, conspiracy to supply controlled drugs; and money laundering.
All except one man were remanded in custody to appear before Southwark Crown Court on December 5.
