Passengers are set for better bus services after Transport for London (TfL) gave the green light for a route to operate on Sundays.
The transport authority originally claimed there was no demand for the 463.
But a campaign by Clockhouse residents, who said they were left marooned by the lack of public transport on Sundays, has led to the service being introduced.
Tom Brake, MP for Carshalton and Wallington, said: “Clockhouse residents who rely on public transport will no longer be marooned on Sundays.
“I am very pleased that TfL has finally seen sense and introduced this new service, which will provide vital transport links for local people.”
The service began on May 24 and is available every 30 minutes from early morning to late evening.
