Eight smooth operators have undergone a hair-lifting experience while on a personal development programme run by the Prince’s Trust.
The real men agreed to have their legs waxed by trainee beauticians at Scola, so they could raise funds for a community project.
They are now using the money to refurbish the gardens of Ryelands Care Home in Wallington over the next fortnight.
Rachela Giordano, their Prince’s Trust team leader, said: “In the case of two very brave volunteers, they went the whole nine yards.
“The team have worked hard and are full of ideas and enthusiasm for the following weeks. They look forward to working with the residents of Ryelands and hope they can make a difference in brightening their garden.”
The 12-week programme is designed to develop the self-confidence, motivation and leadership skills of people aged 16 to 24 through teamwork in the community.
